In Eastern Armenian, I love you is Ես քեզ սիրում եմ (yes kez sirum em), word for word “I you loving am”. You’ll also hear the other, more spontaneous order: Ես սիրում եմ քեզ.

The verb “to love”
The verb սիրել (sirel) works for people and things alike: yes surch em sirum, “I love coffee”. In the present tense it is built with the verb “to be”, like every Eastern Armenian verb.
