Which Armenian will I learn: Eastern or Western?
Lessons follow Eastern Armenian, the official language of Armenia. With Ani, you can practice Eastern or the Western Armenian of the diaspora (Lebanon, France, the United States…), each in its own spelling.
Who is Ani, the AI tutor?
Ani is an artificial intelligence set up for one mission only: helping you speak Armenian. She role-plays everyday situations, corrects your sentences and suggests replies. She stays focused on the language and does not replace a teacher, but she lets you practice every day.
Do I need to know the Armenian alphabet?
No. The first level teaches you the 39 letters, and romanization (Բարև = barev) is shown for as long as you need it. You can hide it once you read on your own.
Which devices does the app work on?
iPhone, Android, tablets and computers, right in the browser. You can add it to your home screen like an app, and your progress syncs across all your devices.
Where does the word audio come from?
Every word and letter in the lessons has its own recording, made with an Armenian synthetic voice. Ani’s replies are read by an AI voice. You can listen as many times as you like.
How do I cancel a subscription?
